John Wick is an American neo-noir action-thriller media franchise created by screenwriter Derek Kolstad and owned by Summit Entertainment. Keanu Reeves plays John Wick, a retired hitman seeking vengeance for the killing of the dog given to him by his recently deceased wife, and for stealing his car. The franchise began with the release of John Wick in 2014 followed by two sequels, John Wick: Chapter 2 on February 11, 2017, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum on May 17, 2019. All three films were considered critical and commercial successes, accumulating a collective gross of more than $587 million worldwide. A fourth installment, John Wick: Chapter 4, is in pre-production and has a release date of May 27, 2022. A fifth installment is also in development, and it will be shot back-to-back with the fourth film in 2021.

John Wick is on the run, being hunted with a $14 million open contract on his life for breaking a foundational rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim, Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) was a member of the High Table—the organization that ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed but Continental’s manager, Winston (Ian McShane), has given him a one-hour grace period before he is “excommunicado”—his membership revoked with him banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses favours and contacts accrued in his former life to stay alive as he fights his way out of New York City. In October 2016, Stahelski announced the development of the third film. The film began production in early 2018.

Welcome back to Movie Frenzy, today on the channel we are going to check out John Wick 4 new details that will change the movie forever. Director Chad Stahelski shares new John Wick: Chapter 4 story details, calling it a “good continuation” of the franchise and teasing a “conclusion”. Plot details for the next installment in the action franchise are currently unknown, though it is expected to continue the cliffhanger ending of John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum in which Keanu Reeves’ titular hero was shot and left for dead by Ian McShane’s Winston. Wick was in turn offered the assistance of Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King in getting revenge on the High Table for their actions against the two.

Reeves, Fishburne and McShane are all returning for John Wick: Chapter 4 alongside fellow franchise vet Lance Reddick as The Continental’s concierge Charon. The film will also mark the series debuts of action vets Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada and Scott Adkins as well as Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, Bill Skarsgård and Clancy Brown, all of whom have been cast in undisclosed roles. Development on John Wick: Chapter 4 has been in the works for three years now since the success of its predecessor and after multiple production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Reeves’ commitment to The Matrix Resurrections, it is set to hit theaters next spring. Stahelski’s tease of the John Wick: Chapter 4 story details comes on the heels of the first footage for the action sequel premiering at last week’s CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The sizzle reel shown at the event saw Reeves’ titular assassin back in action, utilizing nunchucks for the first time in the franchise, as well as the return of Fishburne’s Bowery King, now fully allied with Wick after being hesitant to help the protagonist for most of the previous film.
